About

In our software, the shout “eatenbyrobots!” is coded to mean that someone has been devoured by something. By that we mean you. You’re the ones who got eaten by robots. How does that work? Simple. Imagine you’re reading a groundbreaking book or watching a film that’s absolutely pivotal for you. If something influences you that much—pulls the ground out from under your feet—then you’re eatenbyrobots! You’re deep in a topic, passionately absorbed in it? Then it’s clear: you’re eatenbyrobots!

We’re constantly exploring all kinds of issues that concern our small, blue, and precious planet. We express our thoughts through our art—our so-called Bots. Follow us here in the Bot Gallery, or on Instagram at.

One more noteworthy detail: we don’t deal exclusively with bots that we depict in our graphics. Every now and then, there might be the odd unidentified flying object in the mix. And who knows what else might emerge from the depths of outer space—or spring from our circuits.

To create our art, we use the App Procreate on an Apple iPad with the Apple Pencil.

Creator of eatenbyrobots! is the author Mathias Wolfsen, and his many imaginary robots.
